We proudly present the second of three microlots from the Vinhal farm. After the success of the micro lots last year, we are pleased to once again offer these fantastic micro lots from Rafael Vinhal.
Vinhal Cafés Artesanais is the farm where we source our main component for the Blendy Blend. It is a high-quality Brazilian farm in Cerrado Mineiro that has been producing coffee since 1988. In addition to the coffee that is very suitable for the espresso blend, Rafael has also been producing smaller "microlots" such as this one for a number of years.
This time, Rafael fermented the coffee in such a way that it smelled and tasted like Propolis. But what exactly is that, that Propolis?
Propolis is a product made by honey bees. They collect resin from the trees, which they then chew and use to fix the beehive. They use it as a glue for their house, so to speak.
As a result, propolis tastes surprisingly much like, you guessed it: Honey!
Furthermore, there are also many beautiful sweet flavors to be found in the coffee. This one is really unique.
